CREATE AND LEARN PIANO LEVEL 1 is the follow up to the PIANO PRIMER. It introduces the same basic musical elements as typical Level 1 piano method books. The difference is that students create their own music in the process! Student pieces are composed quickly in the Create and Learn Piano Level 1 Workbook using note letters with pre-determined rhythms (see page detail). Each learning template has a specifically designed exercise that provides an understanding of the basic music theory and notation needed to transcribe pieces to the separate Create and Learn Level One Music Book. The Music Book has a place above the staff section for each piece where the student can include an illustration! The Level one Workbook and Music book should be purchased and used together as a pair. The transcription portion of the process can be accomplished with the assistance of the piano teacher, or can be a lovely shared activity for parent and child between lessons.
